Trust & Verification
Tunelist is designed around a simple principle: artists pay for consideration, not a guaranteed outcome. Curators are compensated the same amount for completing a valid review whether they accept or reject a song — reducing the financial incentive to make a decision that doesn't reflect the curator's genuine editorial judgment.
Ownership verified
Curators provide playlist and profile information and may be required to provide additional proof of control. Tunelist may manually review this information before allowing a playlist to appear in the marketplace, and may suspend a playlist if ownership can no longer be reasonably verified.
Human review
Submissions are intended to receive a genuine human review. Curators are required to listen to submissions and make an independent editorial decision within the applicable review period. If a curator doesn't complete a required review in time, the submission may be canceled and the artist's Tokens returned.
Behavior and fraud monitoring
We may monitor marketplace activity for signals of manipulation or abuse — unusually rapid reviews, anomalous review activity, evidence of automation, ownership discrepancies, false playlist information, off-platform payment requests, or coordinated manipulation. A particular acceptance or rejection rate by itself does not establish fraud.
Reporting
Users may report suspicious playlists, false ownership claims, off-platform payment requests, fraudulent activity, manipulated reviews, or other marketplace violations. Reports may be investigated, and we may take action including suspension, removal, refund, payout withholding, or account termination.
What follower counts mean
Follower counts displayed for playlists are Spotify follower counts. They are not representations of monthly listeners, streams, average listeners, reach, engagement, or guaranteed exposure. Follower counts may change over time.
No placement guarantee
A submission does not guarantee acceptance or placement. Even if a curator accepts a song, Tunelist does not guarantee that the song will remain on the playlist or receive any particular number of streams, followers, listeners, or other results.
Spotify independence
Tunelist is independent of Spotify. Spotify does not sponsor, endorse, administer, or guarantee Tunelist or its marketplace unless expressly stated by Spotify.
