About Tunelist
Tunelist is a marketplace that pays independent Spotify curators for the thing they were already doing for free: listening to music and deciding what belongs on their playlist.
The problem
Getting a real listen from a playlist curator is hard to find and easy to get scammed on. Cold DMs go unanswered, “guaranteed placement” services are usually bots or fake playlists, and there’s no way for an artist to know if a curator even listened.
What we built instead
Every curator on Tunelist proves they actually own the playlist they list. Every submission gets a real, paid review — the curator is compensated for their time and judgment, not for saying yes. Accepting and rejecting a song pay the exact same amount, on purpose: it’s the only way to make sure a curator’s incentive is to listen honestly, not to rubber-stamp.
We don’t sell placement, streams, or followers, and we never will — see our trust & verification page for how that’s enforced, not just promised.
Where we are
Tunelist is early. Playlist verification today is manual — a real person checks ownership before a playlist goes live — because we’d rather launch honest and small than fast and full of fake playlists. Automated verification is on the roadmap; it isn’t a requirement to get started.
