This Privacy Policy explains how Tunelist LLC (“Tunelist,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use tunelist.online and related services.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories.
Information you provide. Depending on how you use Tunelist, this may include: email address, display name, username, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, account role, artist information, curator information, Spotify track links, playlist information, playlist ownership verification materials, written feedback and notes, support communications, reports and complaints, information provided during disputes, information provided for curator payout onboarding, and other information you voluntarily submit.
Payment information. Payments and payouts may be processed by Stripe. Where Stripe collects payment information directly, Tunelist does not receive or store your full payment card number or full bank account number. Stripe’s processing is subject to Stripe’s own terms and privacy practices.
Automatically collected information. We may collect:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device information;
- operating system;
- pages viewed;
- timestamps;
- referring URLs;
- account activity;
- submission history;
- review history;
- Token transactions;
- payout activity;
- security and fraud signals; and
- technical logs.
Spotify information. Tunelist may use Spotify’s public catalog functionality to search for music and identify playlist or track information. Unless expressly disclosed and authorized, Tunelist does not use Spotify OAuth to access your personal Spotify account, listening history, private library, or other account-linked data.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and maintain accounts;
- operate the marketplace;
- process Token purchases;
- process curator payouts;
- match submissions with playlists;
- facilitate reviews;
- verify playlist ownership;
- detect fraud and abuse;
- protect the security of the Service;
- investigate reports;
- administer disputes;
- provide customer support;
- communicate transactional information;
- comply with legal obligations;
- maintain financial and accounting records;
- enforce our agreements; and
- improve the Service.
We do not use Spotify information for purposes prohibited by Spotify’s applicable policies.
3. How we share information
We may disclose information to service providers and third parties reasonably necessary to operate the Service, including:
- Stripe — payment processing and curator payouts.
- Supabase — authentication, database hosting, file storage, and related infrastructure.
- Spotify — where necessary to use Spotify’s applicable public catalog or platform functionality.
- Other Tunelist users — information may be visible to other users when necessary to operate the marketplace. For example, a curator may receive a song and submission information associated with an artist submission, while artists may view public curator and playlist information.
- Service providers — vendors providing hosting, email, security, customer support, logging, fraud prevention, or other infrastructure.
Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- comply with law;
- respond to lawful requests;
- protect users;
- protect Tunelist;
- investigate fraud;
- enforce agreements;
- protect rights and property; or
- prevent harm.
Business transfers. If Tunelist is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Sale and sharing of personal information
Tunelist does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Tunelist does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless our practices and applicable law change and we provide any disclosures or choices required by law. If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required notices or choices.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Tunelist currently uses cookies and similar technologies that are reasonably necessary to operate the Service, including authentication and payment functionality. We do not currently use advertising cookies or analytics cookies unless separately disclosed. See our Cookie Settings page for additional information. If we introduce non-essential tracking technologies, we will update our disclosures and provide any choices required by applicable law.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:
- operating your account;
- providing the Service;
- processing transactions;
- complying with tax and accounting requirements;
- preventing fraud;
- resolving disputes;
- enforcing agreements;
- maintaining security; and
- complying with legal obligations.
Transaction records may be retained after account deletion when reasonably necessary for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes. Certain Token and financial transaction records may be maintained as an immutable ledger to preserve transaction integrity.
7. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account by contacting hello@tunelist.online.
We may require reasonable verification before processing a deletion request. Deleting your account does not necessarily require us to delete information that we are legally permitted or required to retain, including certain transaction, fraud-prevention, dispute, security, or legal records.
8. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether applicable law grants you specific rights, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to:
- know or access information we collect;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion;
- obtain a copy of certain information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- opt out of certain legally defined forms of sale or sharing; and
- appeal certain privacy decisions where applicable.
To submit a privacy request, contact hello@tunelist.online. We will process requests according to applicable law and may need to verify your identity before responding. You will not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
9. California privacy notice
To the extent California privacy law applies to Tunelist, we will provide the disclosures and rights required by applicable California law. The categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers, internet or network activity information, commercial information, professional or account information, user-generated content, and other categories that may apply based on your use of the Service. The purposes for collecting this information are described above.
Tunelist does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. If California law grants you a right to opt out of a particular form of sale or sharing and that activity applies to Tunelist, we will provide the required mechanism.
10. Children's privacy
Tunelist is not directed toward children under 18. We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to create accounts. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, contact us at hello@tunelist.online.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Our service providers may use encryption, access controls, authentication controls, and other security measures. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required by law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
13. Third-party services
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Tunelist is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. Review the applicable third party’s privacy policy before providing information directly to that third party.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice where required by law.
